Claiborne Innovation District

New Orleans: A plan for a 19-Block transformation of space beneath the elevated I-10 expressway along Claiborne Avenue as a site for the residents of the Claiborne Corridor

Paper Machine

New Orleans: An experimental creative agency that specializes in human-centered design and arts-forward projects to improve the livability of public spaces

Blights Out

New Orleans: A collective of artists, activists, and architects whose mission is to generate dialogue, art, and action that challenge inequitable development and drive land use policy in New Orleans

Storia: Delta

New Orleans: This outdoor space will talk about histories of land use and environmental conditions and the consequences of climate change for that land and the people that live on it.

Jefferson HS Modernization

Portland: A modernization project for Portland’s only historically Black high school where intensive community organizing informs design decisions at this cultural hub.

Nature in Neighborhoods

Portland: A participatory budgeting process with Metro parks and recreation Community Choice Grants to ideate and develop with community the nature and park projects they want to see.

PCC Metro Center

Portland: The Portland Community College (PCC) Metro Center is a workforce training center in Portland, OR that will be an anchor for the community in Northeast Portland’s racially diverse Cully neighborhood.

Organizing Design Justice

Design as Protest: A platform for the dismantling of the privilege and power structures that use the design profession to maintain systems of injustice

Storia: Djembe

New Orleans: The pavilion will serve as a gathering space for the local communities. It is meant to be a place for connection, placemaking, and cultural exchange.

Midland Library

Portland: A 30,000 sf renovation and addition provides public space and resources for residents to gather and thrive. The design weaves together the stories and lived experiences of Midland Library’s diverse communities in a shared communal space.

New Orleans: A public art and public history project designed to elevate the voices of the people of New Orleans, as a critical process towards creating new narratives and symbols of our city
